Helping people manage
Part of adulting is juggling various responsibilities. Depending on your schedule, support systems, income, and coping habits, you may at times feel overwhelmed or need some help to make sense of your experiences. There is power in being able to talk things through, especially with the help of a trained professional.
Through intentional dialogue, identify the strengths, tools, and insights you possess that will help you to navigate day-to-day challenges with confidence.
Navigate is a tele-service available to adults seeking emotional, educational, or practical support. Working with a mental health coach, you can identify one or more short-term goals, develop steps toward achieving your goals, and focus on the aspects of your life and growth that are most important to you.

Access
Active listening & support--therapy lite
Whether you are sensitive to events unfolding globally, or struggling with something personal, life can feel heavy. Navigate can help people who may not have access to a large network of care or support.
While Navigate is a trauma-informed service, it is not meant to replace traditional therapy, and may not be the best fit for your needs. During your Intro Consultation, you and your coach will discuss whether Navigate is the right fit for your needs. Recommendations can be provided when Navigate is not an appropriate support option.
The process to set up an appointment is as easy as 3 steps: Contact Navigate through this site, check your email, and reply to confirm your appointment. No complex intake. No diagnosis required. No long insurance forms.
SPECIAL PROMOTION
As Navigate is still in its infancy, each new customer is eligible for a FREE Intro Consultation, up to 60 minutes. This provides an opportunity for people to see if Navigate will support their level of need.
All you need for a Navigate appointment is a good internet connection or cell phone signal. Video is optional for online appointments. Navigate uses Doxy.me, which is a HIPAA-compliant web service that enables video/audio sessions.

Creating a safe virtual space
You may have concerns about your privacy when using a virtual service. Read below to learn what your coach and you can do to ensure your conversations remain confidential.
How does Navigate protect my privacy?
-
Doxy.me is a HIPAA compliant web-service. That means it is a protected from hackers, and a secure way to communicate with your wellness coach.
-
A device such as a fan or heater runs in the virtual office to create white noise.
-
The practitioner uses headphones to protect the privacy of the session.
-
Your coach's session notes don't contain any identifying information. Your name is not kept on any physical documentation.
I don't live alone. It's hard to have a private conversation.
If you live with people, it can be challenging to find a place at home where you can speak privately. Here are some suggestions for ways to make your sessions feel more private.
-
If you have a housemate, spouse, or children (who are not toddlers), ask them to watch something or listen to music while you are in session. Bonus if they can wear headphones!
-
If you are able to do so comfortably, consider sitting in your car for your session.
-
Plan ahead for your housemate to run an errand or take a drive somewhere during your session time.
-
Turn on a device in the room where you sit for your session to create "white noise." This can be a fan, a space heater, or a classical music station on low volume.
If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact your local crisis intervention agency. Navigate does not offer crisis support.
Use Google to find the phone number or website of the crisis support agency in your area. There are also different national organizations that provide crisis support for mental health. These organizations can help you to get set up with a local provider as well if you need to pursue ongoing treatment.

How to set up a session
Step 1: Agree to the terms of service
Read carefully over the terms of service, and then fill out and submit a contact form. Remember, intro consultations are free! So you don't need to set up payment until your second session with Navigate.
Step 2: Check your messages and reply
Once Navigate receives your information, you'll receive a response at the email address you provided. Your response will include available appointment times. Reply to indicate the date and time you would like to schedule your first appointment.
After your intro consultation, if you decide to continue working with a coach, you'll always need to return to this site to make a payment, unless you prepay for an extended package.
Step 3: Confirm your appointment
You'll receive a confirmation email for the date and time you selected for your appointment. Create a reminder for yourself whether you jot down a sticky note or save a reminder to your phone.
If you are a returning client, you can go here to make a payment for your appointment once it's confirmed. You may also want to add https://navigatewithsupport.com to your bookmarks or favorites!
Step 4: Reminder email
You will receive a reminder email (or text message) from Navigate before your first session is scheduled. This message will contain the link for the Doxy website for video sessions. Reply to confirm or make adjustments to your appointment. On the day of your appointment, use the Doxy.me link to check into the virtual waiting room a few minutes early, so that you can test to be sure your connection and microphone are working properly.
Terms of service
In submitting a contact form, you attest that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms of service with Navigate.
Services offered by Navigate are for coaching purposes only. Though Navigate offers services to support mental and emotional well-being, these services are not a substitute for therapy or long-term therapeutic treatments offered through a licensed counseling or similar clinical agency. If Navigate provides a referral or recommendation for alternate services, it is the customer's responsibility to pursue such aid.
Navigate does not maintain records of identifying information. Customers can communicate with Navigate through a standard internet/phone connection outside of the Doxy.me website, which is HIPAA-compliant. Should clients choose to communicate via phone, they understand that this communication is subject to the normal limitations of service under the client's phone provider, and that they are responsible for any charges under the client's phone provider.
Furthermore, Navigate does not provide crisis intervention, and clients experiencing anything that constitutes an emergency should contact the appropriate agency for crisis intervention.
Clients who contact Navigate are under no obligation to maintain a working relationship with a wellness coach, and understand that payments for appointments are due at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled session time. If an appointment is cancelled, payment will be refunded through the same payment method by which payment was submitted, or applied to the rescheduled appointment.
Clients who sign up for coaching support are eligible for up to six (6) months of support, with regular goal evaluation every two (2) months. After six months, clients may wish to purchase additional sessions for up to two (2) additional months. Clients who require additional support will receive referrals to the appropriate agency, according to each client's needs.
Navigate reserves the right to cancel and reschedule appointments, and will provide notice via email or text in such instances in order to reschedule.
