Reaching out takes guts

You've probably heard that the first step in dealing with a problem is admitting that you have one. While it takes courage to admit to yourself when you're dealing with something outside the realm of "normal" stress, it also takes a lot of strength to reach out and talk to another person about what you're experiencing--especially when that person is a complete stranger!

You deserve a lot of credit any time that you've reached out for help with something that may not be super comfortable to talk about. Whether you're reaching out to Navigate or any other supportive resource, take a moment to acknowledge the strength it takes to show up for yourself by getting help!

There are a lot of ways to show up for yourself. You do it every day, probably in more ways than you realize. Self care comes in many forms, and while not all of them are what you might consider "fun" (like getting bloodwork done for a doctor appointment), each time you take steps to support your whole self, you are supporting your wellness.

There are times even when we are doing what we can to show up for ourselves that we still might need a little more outside help. If you just need a little extra, an objective ear to listen, or someone to help you process a situation outside of you're used to managing, Navigate might be a good fit for you. If you aren't quite sure, remember that an intro consultation with Navigate is free, and provides you with an opportunity to chat with a professional, get a better sense of what Navigate can offer, and decide if it's the type of support you need.
